When Lynn Middlebrooks Geter found that her 12-year-old son's report card wasn't to her liking, she didn't offer to help him with homework or ask teachers for extra instruction. No, she decided something more drastic was in order.
The 38-year-old mom from Warm Springs, Georgia decided the best way for her boy to learn was to kill his pet hamster. With a hammer.
The kid, naturally, was quit upset. What would happen with his next report card? Would he have to beat his sister to death to improve his commitment to math? So he told his teacher about it the next day.
WHAT THE FUCK? Seriously? I mean, there's punishment and then there's punishment, the latter being the "cruel and unusual" type. This is definitely "cruel" (to the hamster and to the child). As for "unusual"? Well, I surely hope our society hasn't gone down so far that this isn't "unusual".
What possesses a person to utilize such a punishment? I know that some parents are too easy on their kids and stuff, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the way to make up for it!
But don't worry guys and dolls, her friends think she would never do such a thing:
Those seem to be the radically different takes emerging on Lynn Geter. If you read the comments below, you'll find that she has more than a few supporters who describe her as a great mom, a PTA president, and a loyal cleaning lady at her church.
Religious people and people on the PTA totally don't do things like this! And, just about every time I watch the news and the police arrest a murder suspect, the suspect's parents/family/friends don't tell the news over and over again, "He/she is a nice boy/girl and would never do such a thing".
Nope... Not... At... All!
Lynn Geter: Maybe somebody should smash her with a hammer.
